Meet Albert. He Needs Your Help.
Albert is a happy-go-lucky, 2 month old lab puppy. Our mission is to help Albert gain some quality to his life.
X-rays show that Albert may have a spinal fracture. An MRI would give us all of the answers, but the procedure can cost upwards of $1,800!
While Albert’s hind legs appear to be paralyzed, this sweet little guy is still able to wiggle his tail, feel pain on one of his toes, and even go to the bathroom on his own. He scoots around on his bottom but, as you can imagine, that's causing him to have sores. We were able to get him a puppy wheelchair, but he will need to be fitted for a custom set of wheels that will fit him as he grows.
This handsome pup is receiving weekly acupuncture treatments to help stimulate some movement, although it's imperative that he also begins physical therapy. If some feeling can be regained in the future, he will eventually need fitted leg supports. Albert also requires doggie diapers, diaper covers, and pads daily, which can be costly.
With the help of your donations, we can begin to give Albert the life he deserves. Whether it’s $1 or $100, Albert would be so appreciative of anything you can spare!
Do something that matters. Adopt.
This sweet pup was one of three in a high kill shelter; a rescue pulled his two siblings and left him behind. Daegan spent a week in the shelter alone before we heard he needed help, which made him more terrified. Daegan is doing better but has a long way to go; he is looking for a forever home where his human is home during the day and maybe where he might have another dog to keep him company.
Coco still needs a home. She is a 4 year old female APBT. She’s a small gal at about 40 pounds. She has separation anxiety so it makes her hard to adopt. Her adoption fee is $125. Coco needs to be with another dog or person 90% of the time or she cry’s herself sick. She is super sweet. She is potty trained if you go outside with her. She sleeps all night and gets along with cats, kids and other dogs. We gave doggie day care a try but she shut down in that environment as she does at adoption events. But she is so happy hanging out at home with me or with another dog. She is not fond of a crate & really doesn’t even need it. Can you find it in your heart to give Coco a chance?
This gentle guy is a Bull Terrier, just like the Target dog! Kilo is crate trained and potty trained. He takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but once he does, he is a full-on lovebug! Kilo is looking for his forever family… Could that be you?
"I know I look fancy, but I'm really a down-to-earth kind of guy. I like going potty outdoors and I'll even sit, stay, and give ya a high-five if you ask for it. I love playing fetch, but I like snuggling even more. Will you consider fostering me or, dare I say it, loving me forever? Love, Bugatti."
Rescue the mistreated.
Save the injured.
Love the abandoned.
We rescue dogs from county animal control facilities throughout the state of Georgia and save hundreds of animals each year from euthanasia because of neglect, abandonment, and overpopulation.
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Whether it’s through relentless rescue efforts, community education, or financial assistance to families that cannot care for their pets, our team’s number one focus is to help animals in need.
But we can’t do it without you and your support, which is why we are so grateful for your generosity.
